How do you get guys like Ty Lawson to actually play like Ty Lawson?

I've tried so many different rosters but none of them fix what I find most frustrating about the 2k series.. how do I blow by slower defenders? it doesn't even matter if i have marcus camby on me as ty lawson he always seems to keep up.. am i playing wrong? or what

I don't know if you do this, but... If you're holding down turbo and trying to blow past players it won't work. My best drives to the hoop with Lawson happen when I catch a defender leaning one way and attack his opposite shoulder (the game then compensates and allows you to beat the player unless he has supreme on-ball defense ratings).

This works well when I use guys like Lawson, Rose, Westbrook, Collison, etc. If you're trying it with Jimmer Fredette, forget it.

size the defender up and catch em leaning it will work if done right

Catch him off guard , most likely try to shake & bake.

If there's no help D or big center clogging the paint you should be able to turbo past.

That behind the back spin move thing led into a crossover usually gets the defenders.

Completely agree! Impossible for Ty to be himself in 2K13.

Speed is too delayed and the CPU recovery speed is too good. Too much sliding going on and that hesitation speed burst doesn't help.

I played against the Nuggets (CPU) about a month ago and Ty was getting bumped and knocked all over the place, no fouls. Where is the speed?

Ty is a speed guy, he just hesitate and take off, shake and bake is not his style.
