No audio 2 years in a row?

So I Redboxed the game, and I think I remember why I didn't play last years game as much...The game starts and there is literally ZERO sound coming out. How does this happen two years in a row? I play other PS3 games and they're fine. Perfect audio. I play 2 different years of the show and as soon as the game loads all sound goes away? What the...?

Strange..ive had sound/commentary/in game music in all the iteration of the show. Not sure I understand what issue you are having? Are you not hearing any commentary?

Literally the entire game, the entire experience, is muted from the moment it loads. I installed the game fully. My PS3 plays all other games normally. Yet I pop The Show in, and I have to play it with no sound. It's terrible.

I had this same problem with Nba 2k a few years ago. What worked for me was going back into the sound settings on the ps3 and going through and resetting the audio.

It worked! Wow! And I could have sworn I checked this stuff last year. Odd.

I've never had the issue in the past but have it this year.

First time I played it through the HDMI and it worked fine for about an hour and just shut off. Music worked fine in the ps3 menu after exiting the game and I would go back in and still to this moment no sound in the game.

I've just been running the audio through optical instead and it works fine (sounds better too) but it is just bizarre.

i have an issue kind of the same with no commentary at all while playing any game mode except for playing rtts any body else with this issue i tried those suggestions and nothing even used AV cables
