Is it safe to start a Franchise?

Is it safe to start a franchise? I noticed alot of "Cant offer player contract even though I have money", "Roster is full cant sign anyone" And Progression/Degression after Spring training threads. While the spring training doesent alarm me. Is it safe to start a franchise do you guys think?

Re: Is it safe to start a Franchise?

I'm going to wait for osfm rosters to drop before starting mine. I would hate to start one and then start over when the osfm rosters drop. Not sure about the other issues you mentioned but mlb 13 has plenty of other options and game modes to keep you busy until the patch drops and the osfm rosters come out. Right now I'm having a blast with post season mode.

If you do start I would save on multiple (3 or 4) rotating save files.
I did this with RTTS and had a glitch where it kept freezing after getting called up to AAA and couldnt get past the training goal screen.

Luckily I only lost a couple of weeks and didnt have to start over since I was already half way through teh season.

The progression/regression while a bit extreme at times, is completely intentional. As for the other issues, I have gone through a year on two different 'chises and not experienced any of them.

Re: Is it safe to start a Franchise?

I started one... But I'm using it as my "Spring Training" for when OSFM rosters come out.

I tend to put the previous The Show down around December and take a few months off to "recharge my batteries." With that said, I use the month or so until OSFM comes out as a way to start a dummy franchise and get used to the game again and work on the little things.

Also a good time to figure out if you want to do any tweaking on your sliders/settings. Once I start my real franchise, I try to never stray from those settings.
