***fifa 13 - SEASONS***

I've been looking on the internet everywhere I can think of including here and can't seem to find much info on Fifa 13's Season online mode so I am starting a thread here. If there are other threads please post links here.

I'm just curious as to why your team seems to go on runs where you can move the ball at will and make every shot within range and go on long win streaks and then suddenly you can't move the ball at all and you go on losing streaks where your team plays poorly and every first touch is terrible, the player is just slow and unresponsive with the ball, you can't hit a shot etc.

Some games when I am playing good I wonder if the other player is on a losing streak and vice versa. And there are games where we are both terrible and both good.

I am just wondering other peoples thoughts on this because it really pisses me off. And if there are any tactics that help turn the momentum they would be appreciated.

If you're gonna tell me it's because i suck, it's a bad internet connection, or it's all in my head then there is no reason to reply to this thread. Thanks.

I would love to find one of those winning streaks you speak of. I am currently on a 20 game winless streak in seasons with an overall record of 1-7-23. I am about to get relegated from Division 9. Yes, 9.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. The other team is always faster than any team I choose. My players will receive a pass by turning backward and then turn around right into the defender. Or I will pass all the way down until I get close to the box and then my pass some how bounces off my player who is wide open. Or sometimes I have the stick pointed up and my pass will go forward right to a defender.

This is the best one, I was clearing my zone after the other team got a couple shots and I was near the goal line off to the side of the net. My clear was a bullet right to middle to their mid fielder streaking in for a goal. I was aimed at the sideline. WTF?

I want to like this game, but right now I want to break it into pieces.

I havent playing online much at all this year, yet at least. I might start up soon. Last year I went through the exact same thing you are experiencing. I did manage to get up to division 2 but it was really hard down around division 7 or so. after that I just went through a run all the way 3 and then back and forth till i got to 2. I should have kept with it to division 1, but i was really tired of the winning streaks followed by losing streaks.

As far as momentum, I just try to hold the ball as long as possible when I know I don't have it. I hold and then punt the ball down field if my guys are suddenly too incompetant to get through the midfield. I am sure you know what I am talking about.

I hope next year they really address online play and lower the speed big time. hopefully give us more incentives to play with manual controls as well.

It's all based on momentum. The game rewards you for continually dominating with accurate passes. It also punishes you for not being able to capitalize on several attempts. I recommend dominating the passing game right away to get a slight boost in momentum, or you'll fall prey to those unlucky bounces, those moments where a forward is sitting on the last d-man but your guy is too oblivious to pick him up and those moments where you cant switch to the right player(yes, I'm almost positive it's a tactic employed by EA).

I'm a full-manual player, so this is even harder for me, but if I can do it, you can do it.

It's realistic that's all. EVERY TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THIS BEAUTIFUL SPORT has went through this. You can play a perfect match one week, and all of a sudden suck the next. If you play soccer in real life you'll understand more. It happens man, whenever you notice you're sucking, just keep calm and maintain possession! It'll all come back
