Anybody going with Cubs?

I'm still split between the Cubs and Astros. But are any of you playing with the Cubbies? If so what is your idea for Lineups, rotations, and call ups?

Re: Anybody going with Cubs?

Yes I am! Die hard here always wait until OSFM then I roll with my beloved Cubbies. Season ticket holder!

I usually like to go with what the real life Cubs are doing to at least start with. Then as the season progresses I tend to do moves to my liking. I got through 4 seasons last year.

I plan on hoping to stay in the race but how mediocre the team is this year I will probably end up trading Matt Garza by the deadline. Maybe try to get Mike Olt. For sure a top prospect. Will also probably deal Marmol and Soriano. All depends on how we are competing. Soler and Baez hopefully up by 2014-15. I love building the farm but if Cano becomes a free agent I might just try to nab him and move Barney for prospects. Most of my FA signings will be for the rotation though as that is what is in most need.

Re: Anybody going with Cubs?

As I always do I'll be going with the Cubbies. I usually try to follow along with what the Cubs do in real life for my first season. Only using players that played in the majors so far in the season and make any real life trades that they made.

This year however I may break tradition and just run my franchise how I want to run it with roster moves and such.

I always play with Cubs. I usually try to keep up with the Cubs during the regular and do every move that they do during the season.

Split between the Cubs and Astros? You don't actually plan on playing the games, do you? haha

Besides my Royals franchise, I was thinking hard on rolling with the Cubs or the Astros. Both have many positives such as stadiums and uniforms and the challenge of rebuilding.

Re: Anybody going with Cubs?

I usually try to do a mutli-season franchise (play one out of every 4 or 5 games) with both a NL and AL team. This year I'm actually doing Astros and Cubs, so this should be fun. Definitely planning on trading Garza as well for prospects, try to shed some salary and strengthen the farm system as I rebuild.
