cpu drafting logic

I'm not sure if this is a well known problem and if it is I apologize. I use a 2013 draft class where there is an even distribution of good players between all five positions. My problem is that in the lottery there is always a "run" on a position, usually power forward or point guard, around six or seven players from the same position will be taken in succession. This leaves that position very weak for the rest of the draft and allows teams drafting later to get players rated very high. This usually results in a team drafting a 66 overall player sixth overall for example, while a player rated 76 is still on the board.

If anyone has experienced this problem and knows how to fix it I'd love some advice.
