1988 Jazz or 1990 Suns... Who was better?

For those of you who were around to watch the 80s and 90s NBA, compare and contrast the 88 Jazz and 90 Suns. Compare the two teams... frontcourt, backcourt, and bench

Personally I thought the 88 Jazz were a better challenge for the Lakers than the Mavs in 88.

Can't believe how the Suns knocked off the Lakers in 90. It had to be more than just losing Kareem. What Happened???

I honestly think the suns team was better. Eddie Johnson, KJ, Chambers, Hornacek, Marjerle was a rook, Mark West was playing some of the best ball of his career.... I honestly don't know how that team didnt make it to the finals that year.

Didn't they(90 Suns) have Tom Chambers at Center? I remember thinking that giant can play, he was like Dirk before Dirk but a center.

Nope it was Mark West... Chambers might have play some center but West was the starting center

1990 Suns were a better offensive team, 1988 Jazz a better defensive team.

88 Jazz took the repeat Lakers to 7 games, 90 Suns beat Slowtime Lakers in 5 games.

Lakers were a better team in 88 than in 90, and that Jazz team gave them a real scare, but the 90 Lakers weren't the same team and the Suns finally caught them after the Lakers swept them the year before (1989).

The Suns did beat the Jazz in the first round in 1990 (best of 5 back then), though.

I say it's close.
