The show is close to being a flawless game. Ive always said if you stick mlb 2ks commentary on the show it would make it perfect. Lyons replaces Campbell in the Booth this year, yes campbell was absolutely awful in previous shows which will improve it. The problem I've had though is vasgersian is way too monotone, and some of the commentary in general is just boring.

What's everyone elses view?
Is this the last chance for the commentary?

I do think the need a new main commentator for MLB The Show.

They should get Joe Buck or something as main commentator.

everyone shares your thoughts. most people want better game play, I want better commentating

I'm probably the minority here, but to me commentary is a little overrated. Sure, it's icing on the cake, but not the main course.

The NHL and NBA2k series have great commentary on the surface, but play a lot of games and it repeats the same things over and over anyway. It just sounds more refreshing in the delivery I guess, but you're going to get a bit of staleness regardless.

I end up tuning it out anyway. The gameplay is what keeps me coming back.

I think Steve Lyons will bring much needed energy & enthusiasm to the commentary

I loved his commentary in ASB '05
