Help me not hate this years 2k

Okay let me start off by saying that I play online quick match only. So my opinion is soley based upon online head to head matches.

This year everytime I play it is the most frustrating game ever. It just is so inconsistent.here is a quick overview of things I hate about this game.

1.rebounding- position size and strength do not matter in the game when it comes to rebounding. Players will consistently miss the ball completely in the air or just run away from it?
2. Blocking dunk- you can't block a dunk. And if you do it's goal tending.
3. Catching simple passes and throwing long ones- every attempt to swing the ball is a joke. One player can't catch a 2-6 foot pass without fumbling it for a good 2 seconds. And also directional passing doesn't work properly. Also passing out of your defensive end after a basket and in general from this area. It's clearly a joke right? Please tell me you were kidding with that 2k.
4. Waiting to move off a pass.- why the hell can't I jab step immediately after the catch. I find myself waiting a full second before I can establish a pivot.

5. Switching players- you stop everytime you switch players on D

I could go on but won't because I am frustrated. screw you 2k

That's essentially your problem. Online quick matches are filled with cheesers and 12 years olds. Add those to the normal slider set, which is essentially an arcade-like style, and you get the perfect mix for frustration.

That being said, you bring up some great points throughout your post that pertain to even offline users, such as myself. I don't see why we can't block dunks. If a guy tries to throw it down, but the ball runs into a defender's arm, you'd think all momentum would be lost and he'd probably lose the ball. But nope. The ball travels through the defender and he finishes the dunk.

I also wish that it didn't take so damn long to catch the ball and move. I mean, we literally sit there for a full second after catching a pass.

Don't use directional passing, icon passing is the most efficient once your used to it.
