What has been your best development?

Ok, I drafted Andrew Chandler to play HB and signed a udfa that had a 61ovr to hopefully be his career backup. Elijiah Mitchell from Tarleton State. He had nice size and speed, 6'1" 215 99spd 97 agi 96 acc with like 82 juke 83spm 80 elu but 10 awr 60 sfa 60 trk 55 catch. Chandler went down in the 2nd game for 6 weeks(I got the hurt one :/) Mitchell has took the oppurtunity and never looked back and 6 years in the future, he has rushed for 1,000yards in his career every year and is now a 82ovr. An increase of 21 points to his overall and he is still going up as he is only 27.

Same draft class, in the 7th round I took a WR just to have a back up to Cecil Shorts III as a slot only guy. I took Demarcus Smelter from Ottawa, 67ovr. He came in the league with 93 speed 99elu and 82 catching but was 5'9" and 22awr. I became very aware early in his rookie year he was a backup to no one and has been the only WR I can rely on having 100 catch seasons 3x, 2,000yd seasons 2x, he is so deadly in the open field. He is now a 86ovr with 93 spd 99elu 90awr 99catching 90cit 90rte 80spec and 80's juke and spm. A 19 point increase to his overall and he is only 26.

All this is on all madden (the 2,000yd 100rec seasons for D Smelt the 2nd leader in rec was like 30 at most) I absolutely love the xp system that made this possible. They were both normal potential and I turned them into superstars. Who are some of your guys that have had this type of success stories?

Re: What has been your best development?

Aarin Carroll is by far the best player I have ever drafted. He had a great college season (was a storyline player). When I drafted him, he was already around 87 ovr, which is ridiculous. After 2 seasons and breaking numerous season/game records, he is now 95.

Re: What has been your best development?

My favorite project player (best development project) right now has got to be WR Marcus Richardson.

I picked him up as an UDFA 3 years ago in my Chicago Bears CCM. He came in at a 68 OVR in a balanced scheme with 99 speed/accel/agi, 71 catch/cit, 10 AWR, and now after 3 years of development his key stats are as follows:

79 OVR - Balanced
6'0" / 214lbs
Speed: 99
Accel: 99
Agility: 99
Catch: 83
Catch in Traffic: 79
Spec Catch: 86
Route Running: 85
Release: 85
Jumping: 91
Elusiveness: 92
Kick Return: 95
Ball Carrier Vision: 88
Awareness: 35

His awareness hasn't improved much, but I'm not a sim player so I don't mind having a few brainless athletes on my roster.

I mainly use him as a PR/KR specialist but he gets into my receiver rotation a few times every game and when I get him the ball it's almost always a huge gain (or a dropped catch HAH, gotta work on that catching still!). In 3 years as a receiver, he has 125 catches for 1,935 yards (15.48 average/catch) with 24 TD's, but here is where it gets interesting. As a returner, he averages 31.1 yards per kick return and 15.2 yards per punt return with 7 KR TD's and 4 PR TD's. Suffice it to say, this kid could wind up being the greatest return player of all time. He's already got a 109 yard kick return for a TD and a 91 yard punt return on his resume so the decision to replace Patrick Peterson full time with Richardson was way easier than I originally thought it might be.

If you see this guy, go get him! With him and Kenny Timm (also tends to go into the UDFA pool), you can turn a terrible receiving core into a powerhouse for years to come!

Re: What has been your best development?

In my first CCM my 2 favorite players drafted were Rudy Outlaw, he ended up being a LE and Jordin Grey who ended up being a CB. Grey started out as an 88 overall and would pick everything plus was really fast. Outlaw was a beast on the edge rush. I only played with them for one season before going to my second CCM and this time online with one of my buddies.

In this current year I drafted Rockford Odom because Romo retired after winning it all. Odom starts off as an 81 and I am 10 games in. He is now at 86 ovr, granted i play a very pass heavy offense and he already has 50 TDs but have been able to increase his deep throw accuracy from 73 to 93. I play on all-madden with 5 min qtrs

Re: What has been your best development?

So far for me has probably been Gary Pruitt. I went to Cleveland after they already had him and I think he was overall a mid 70's guy. I've gotten him up to 86 overall in my scheme, and he picks up XP like crazy every week. I just finished a season where I lost in the division playoff round but he gained over 70k xp that year.

Right now I've been developing a WR named Rommon Majors who is a beast. He's gone up from a 75 to an 83 after his rookie year. Ended up with over 1,000 yards and a couple dozen touchdowns. True red zone threat receiver.

Re: What has been your best development?

Since the question is "best development", I am going to assume it does not necessarily have to be a drafted player? I'm only in the second season so barely have developed my rookies yet D:

My best development is probably Ricky Stanzi (QB) with the Chiefs after about 2 seasons. He got the chance since Cassel was too old, too expensive and not much better really (and I was unable to aquire Mallet or Osweiler, since it's an online franchise). Since being given the chance he has developed from a scrub to a hero! 92 THP, 90 in all AC's, about 80 throw on the run and PA. My plan with the team was to either trade for one of the two mentioned QBs, or end up drafting one after the first season. But Stanzi developed so well that he has turned into my franchise QB

Another player that I have had satisfaction in developing is DT Dontari Poe. He has some amazing attributes, but his awareness and play recognizition is super low (40's). Which means that he basically never was able to recognize the run plays up the middle and make a tackle. Now, after about two seasons of development, I have finally gotten him to a point where he sheds his tackle and takes down the runner for 1-3 yards gains, which before often was about 6-8 yards due to the tackle having to be made by a safety

Lastly is OLB Justin Houston. A power pass rusher. I have mainly focused on developing his speed, due to wanting to try out to create a combination of power moves and speed. This has turned out to be a deadly combination as he is currently the sack leader, and the top candidate for defensive player of the year. The best thing about him is that he still has so much room for development
