NFL 2k on new ps3

I just reached the end point with the madden franchise. It just got to the point where it wasn't fun anymore. So I ordered the ps2 version on 2k5 from amazon for 64 cents. I was just wondering if I can play 2k5 on a new 160 gb ps3. I have heard that you can't get full highlights and other features on the ps2 version because of memory. So will I be able to have all the features? And if not, what will I be missing in the ps3 compared to the Xbox 360. Thanks

Won't play on a slim, nor will other PS2 games as far as I know.

The older 20GB, 60GB and 80GB Systems were the only PS3 systems that had Backwards Compatability.

So, as mentioned about, the Slim will not play any PS3 games.

wow...u must be new to ps3...my advice is to buy a cheap used xbox and the xbox version of the game, which is at least 10x better.

IMO, the MAIN reason why the greatness of 2k5 is ever debated b/c so many people were on PS2 last gen (rather than xbox) and remember the PS2 version of the game.

So when yoy get one guy gushing over 2k5 and other saying, "eh, it was cool but not all that" usually the 2nd guy was on PS2 and the first guy on xbox.

I guess I just wasted $3.00 on shipping, but I can go buy the Xbox version of the game. I have a 360 pro version. Will that be sufficient and will the quality be good? Or is it easier to get rosters, and is the game overall better on the original Xbox? Money really isn't an issue, I just want the best football experience including the halftime show and music.

I use the Xbox version on my 360 and I personally haven't had an issue playing.

There are some issues with roster though where they freeze a certain amount of years into a Career. It's not EVERY roster, but some of them do freeze.

Ok, ill just order it for my xbox. Can you get the rosters via usb? Or do i have to buy all the transfer cables and what not.

Hold on to the PS2 version anyway, you never know when Target will run one of their "$10 for any game" trade-in promos like they did last April.

I don't have answers 4 you cause I'm playing it on a b/c PS3 fatty but I can still appreicate it b/c my memories on the xbox. Whenever I trade in the b/c PS3 I'll probably be picking up an old Xbox somewhere just for this game.
