Thumbs up 10 Year Madden Vet.. Never Experienced Anything As Magical As This

Before you watch the video let me set the stage for you..

Its Madden 2004 on PC.. fantasy draft franchise.. year 3. My team is the Philadelphia Lava Turtles (custom made team, replaced the Eagles). First year I went 3-13, traded up for the #1 pick and took my franchise QB (called by scouts 'the next mike vick') Ben Chandler. First season with Ben Chandler at QB we just missed the playoffs. This season we won our first 6 games but then went 4-6 down the stretch but still won the division at 10-6.

Its the wildcard round and I have to face my division rival Washington Redskins (8-7-1). Washington's offense is all about its passing game with 3 WRs over 90 ovr rating (Eric Moulds, Charles Rogers, Chris Chambers) and a pro bowl tight end in Dallas Clark. However, star Quarterback Peyton Manning was out for the playoffs with an MCL injury, leaving 65 ovr Dave Ragone as the starting quarterback. Also, 2 of Washingtons starting offensive lineman were out due to injury, and were both replaced with rookies.

I thought I would win easily. I was wrong.

It was a windy, snowy game in Philadelphia. The fans were excited and expecting a playoff win. The first half of the game (the video shows the 2nd half) the Redskins absolutely killed me. I cant believe I am saying this but.. I couldnt stop Dave Ragone. He killed me all half with the passing game, especially when he threw to WR Charles Rogers (who continuosly burned cornerback R.W McQuarters- who was eventually benched), and even capped the half off with a rushing touchdown. My offense couldnt get going at all, and before I knew what hit me it was 38-7 Redskins at halftime, and I had to kickoff to the Redskins at the start of the 2nd half.

Safe to say, I didnt have much hope. I have never come back from a deficit like that before, especially in the playoffs. I didnt make any changes at halftime. I felt that the first half the Redskins played an A+ game and my team played an F. My only chance was for those roles to be reversed in the second half.

Could I do it?

Could I pull off the unimaginable... a 31 point 2nd half playoff comeback?

Cool Re: 10 Year Madden Vet.. Never Experienced Anything As Magical As This

Damn shame how many tackling animations from that video are in Madden 13. Nice win.

yeah buddy!

And in sad news.. in the division playoff game vs the Packers.. in a 21-21 game in the 2nd half.. Ben Chandler went out with a broken shoulder.. he is out for the rest of the playoffs.

Backup Cade McNown has to lead the team now and try and win it.

Wishing Ben Chandler a full recovery for next season
