another contract extension glitch

so i had signed a contract extension back in Feburary and got simmed till the end of the year. definitely sucked because we dropped from 1st seed to 6th seed. but anyway, i started the playoffs and got us to the finals. up 3-0 and before game 4 i see the little message pop up that tells me "new gm conversation topic available".

hmmm, wonder what that is? go to talk to the gm before game 4 and i see option 5/6 is discuss contract extension, and option 6/6 is i will be testing the free agency.
i'm like...WTF?

i already signed a contract extension? luckily i had my back up save so i went ahead and played game 4, loss and then won in game 5. winning finals mvp. anywhoo's in the offseason it puts me to the "negotiate contract" screen with about 7-8 teams... none of which are my team.

again...WTF? i had signed a contract. screw this...go to my backup save. reload at the end of game 3 before the start of game 4 and go to the gm and discuss an extension. this time around i get significantly less (midseason extension had me at 651vc, extension right before game 4 had me at 505vc).

whatever, i take the lesser offer and game 4 gets simmed. bummer. we won, so a sweep this time i guess. but again, i get to the offseason part and now i have to do the "negotiate contract" with 7-8 teams and none of which are my original team.
AAARRRGGggghhh. what the effing hell 2k? do you guys test anything? this game has bugs coming out the butthole.

now i know i signed the extension cause it simmed my arse...twice. has anyone else out there heard of ... or experienced this glitch? where you signed the extension but then the team for some reason wont honor it? and now i dont know what to do. just to reiterate, it was the last year of my contract.
i went to the gm for the "contract extension". they offered me 5 years, to which i agreed.

tl / dr: signed contract extension...now team wont honor it and i'm at free agency without the option to come back.

I read on here that when some players tried to resign mid season, or during the season, their game got glitched/froze and lost their MyCareer I think they said, which is a bummer and I didn't want to test fate and do the same so i'm waiting till the off season.

I also do recall though seeing someone say they couldn't resign with their current team in the off season too so I hope that's not the case as I also would like to stay with my team. =\ And if it's this glitched I wonder why 2k hasn't fixed it seeing as this is a pretty bad one at best.

i had this game on preorder so i was one of those people who were playing from day 1. had the contract extension glitch happen where it simmed me from feb to the end of the year right before playoffs.

came on here and learned this had happened to others and then learned how to do a backup save after the fact.

i had never read or heard of anyone else who tried to continue and then get screwed again by this glitch.

i am so pissed. i lost half a season by this glitch and now even though i SIGNED THE EXTENSION it acts like i didnt. i dont know why right before game 4 i got the "gm conversation" but curiosity made me look and... what do you know... not only did i lose half the season but now i also wont get recognized that i AGREED to a 5 year deal.

i am not sure if i am ever going to buy another 2k game with this kinda support and this kind of screw our fanbase attitude.

here's what 2k is doing to me...

I'd love for my game to sim the majority of the season right to the playoffs. Once you get 2-3 seasons in playing 15-20 regular season games seems like a drag because playoff games are more fun because they actually mean something. Everytime I ask for a contract extention the game freezes.

Just finished my third year with the Lakers won my 3 straight championship and I was scared of not getting resigned, however luckily they were among a long list of teams that wanted me. They payed 5 years 543 vc, or 2k traslation 5 years 89 million But weather the team wants you back depends on the depth of the position I believe.
