What do I have to offer to get a 1st round pick in return?? I offered 2 players who contracts was up & their rating was in da 90s. The team was highly interested. Still declined. Plz help me

I noticed teams usually don't take contracts that are up. Which makes sense. Why take a contract with a huge cap hit that is about to run out and you may not get to resign them as they'll want another huge contract?

If they're contract is up, why give away a first. Just pick them up in FA.

This is Madden. People would trade Terrell Owens away for a first rounder if they could. Then complain the game isn't realistic enough.

If you're doing well and will have a 20+ 1st, you should trade the last place comp team your first and one of your late rounds picks for theirs. I did this and ended up with the #1 overall.

Add a 3rd or 4th round pick in to that trade and you should get it. I've found thats the best way to do it mix players with picks.
