Who should get the WWE License?

if you havent heard, thq is selling their franchises, and wwe is up for grabs, i think EA might jump on it, 2k wouldn't be bad either, i heard ubisoft is interested... simple question who do you want to make the new wwe games?

EA Pros: good servers, money to properly fund the development, gameface
EA Cons: its ea, they half *** everything, havent made a good sports game at all this console generation

2k pros: they never made a bad sports game, could integrate a my player approach to wwe hence my wrestler, can use the updating content system, to update attires, songs, moves, etc.
2k cons: servers suck

ubisoft pros: makes great games
ubisoft cons: cant think of a sports game they ever made

now what i'd like to see in the new games

a online league mode, where you can set up shows, with your leagues members, have them come out with belts, roster updates, way more moves in the game, and the crown jewel, FIND THE PEOPLE WHO MADE WWF NO MERCY, WRESTLEMANIA 2000, WCW VS NWO, WCW/NWO REVENGE AND HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone but EA.

Also, AKI made those N64 games, but I don't think they've done much since those games.

They aren't even AKI anymore. Not sure what Asmik Ace is doing.

THQ can't sell the WWE license, rights go back to WWE. Same goes with the South Park license, it goes back to the original holders. So it is up to WWE who they choose to make a deal with on publishing. Some rumors are going around that WWE might just go ahead and publish themselves moving forward under a WWE Games banner.

I dont care who publishes the game but i hope somehow AKI comes back to us. The n64 games were awesome. Imagine what they could do with the current and future consoles.

Re: Who should get the WWE License?

2K would be best.

The con you listed was that servers weren't great. But I doubt there'd be as much people playing WWE games online compared to other 2K games such as NBA, so that should help the servers. And 2K has vaults online too, which would be similar to community creations on the current WWE games.

And the biggest part of course....2K has the ___ Today features. Something NEEDED in WWE games since things change much more often in WWE than something like NBA. WWE Today feature would be cool. Imagine (Today,January 8th) playing a match that's something like Cena vs Ziggler, and then the commentary would be like "Last time these two faced off on Raw, Cena won". Or if it's something like CM Punk vs Ryback, they'd be like "A rematch from Monday Night on Raw when CM Punk defeated Ryback"

I really won't be surprised if 2K gets WWE. EA Sports got UFC already, so 2K might wanna rival EAs new fighting game by bringing in WWE(a game which sells much better than UFC does). Not to mention, 2K will be getting free publicity cause WWE will be advertising their own game like crazy, which would obviously mean mentioning 2K as well

i was thinking it should be something like that havent heard it being like that, they keep mentioning wwe is up for grabs. and i really hope that south park game comes out it looks awesome, it should be right up there on the list to get since its supposed to come out soon, instant return on investment

Re: Who should get the WWE License?

Well, I'd love to see Spike (The company not Brother Runt) get the license, but the chances of that happening are probably around zero.
