My Problem With Sim Players

I honestly dont under understand sim players.

They claim there sim but won't call there first timeout until the 4th quarter in a 12 minute game. I can't stand playing people who won't burn a timeout until the 2nd half because it throws off my rotation. And if were emulating the NBA you should be calling timeouts to constantly coach, mess with matchups, stops runs and momentum substiute players in and out due to certtain reasons that varies game to game.

Also when the other person doesn't call timeouts it messes with fatigue players get tired because there isn't a break in action, making them not as effective due to fatigue. If you guys were real hoop heads or sim heads you would knows theres TV timeouts in every quarter and would try to emulate that. I just don't understand how majority of you play 12 minute quarters and won't burn a timeout until the 3rd or 4th quarter.

Then people always want to know why there losing, or complain the game is to easy to score. But you guys won't call timeout when your opponent is in the middle of a 10 point run. I see it everyday I play people I go on a 10 point run, and they won't call a timeout. Then it happens to be the same people on OS complaining momentum isn't real, or it's broken or the game is to easy to score.

Free throw routines. Can you guys please stop skipping them? It's annoying because I'm trying to make subs and follow real life rotations and you guys are x'ing through the routines not even giving me time to sub not even a quick second to stretch if I need to. NBA players go through their routines in real life, very rarely do you see a player step to the line and just chuck up there free throw with no routine.

Cut scenes can you guys stop skipping these also? IMO it ruins the flow of the game and doesn't make it seem like a real NBA game. I love reading the real life up to date NBA stats during ball stoppages, it gives you info on the league. Also it flows like a real NBA game. As a sim player I want to have a NBA experiencine and emulate it the best I can, you guys are just so quick to rush back into the action it's annoying as ****. Can we just let the game flow please?

Then you got guys hitting you up for 7-10 minute "sim" leagues. SMH playing a game with the minutes shorter then 12 minutes is NOT NBA basketball. Some guys also hit you up for 8 minutes games that is NOT NBA basketball.

These are just a couple things that pisses me off with majority of sim players. It's annoying man you guys call yall selves sim but don't call no timeouts, make no coaching adjustments etc. The only person I really enjoy playing is EC WORLDWIDE because we are like minded individuals that just wants the full sim experience. We want the NBA flow of game, we call TV timeouts at the same time NBA games are scheduled to call them, we make coaching adjustments frequently, watch our free throw routines, we play with real life NBA defensive strategies and we actually run legit offense.

It's gotten to the point where me and him have our playvision completely off. Not on full, or lite but completely off. Because we understand NBA offenses so well we don't need diagrams on the court blindly telling us where to go. We read and react, also if you really know your offenses and sets it's easy to know what the next step is in the play is.

Guys I play love using the excuse "I never played with this team before", "I didn't know the plays I was running" etc. How come me and EC are able to pickup any of the 30 teams score, play D, run the offense, run plays we never ran before with the playvision off and with success?

I'd love to get to that stage. It would make reading and reacting SO much easier. All the lines can get extremely distracting, and you can miss an easy look so many times.

Yeaaa it definitely it the way to go.

But at first I was playing on lite. Cause I was watching Da Czar videos then realized he had his playvision lite because it's easier to run a NBA offense like that instead of blindly following diagrams and arrows.

It's actually funny how we started playing with the playvision completely off Me and EC were playing and I had the Thunder, I accidentally put the playvision off(I was already playing with it on lite at this time). I was trying to run Kevin Durant off some single doubles, pins downs and staggard screens and I would see the screens being set but no indicator to pass it, or markers to go to to initiate the play.

Then I was like WTF then I realized after checking my settings it was completely off. Then EC was like that's not even sim that's real life NBA

Then a couple games after we decided to try playing with the playvision off to help elevate our game. It was easier to then expected to pick up. Life iff you know your offenses and you're running a Horns play you know you have to make a pass to the high elbow, if you're running 1-4 you know you have to pass to the top of the arc, or you call a floppy you know some one is going to run either off a single double, staggard screen or a pin down.

It definitely does help with reading, reacting and taking what the defense gives you. If you look at it in real life, NBA players don't have arrows and diagrams telling them where to go. Everything is within the flow of the offense so we want to emulate that.

I'm not bragging about how good I am. I'm voicing my frustration with the many sim players I play every day.

But from your post we could definitely see how good you are!

Re: My Problem With Sim Players

Playing like that seems fantastic in limited doses, but surely you can understand why people don't want to spend 90+ minutes on every game. That's what it takes to play 12 min quarters w/o skipping anything and calling TV timeouts. I consider you fortunate to have found even 1 person who is willing to do that regularly. No way I could get anyone I know to try it for more than a single game.
