I was just wondering if most people make themselves or come up with a random prrson? Tell me what direction you think I should go in.

Made mine look like me but be a 6'8 SF. Used a different birth year and made him go to my college.

I made my player just like me, except IRL I shoot with my left hand instead in game as a right handed. I used the same birthday as mines and made him go to my dream college (Washington St.)

i usually go with celebrities or future draft prospects. It usually depends on what face turns out the best.

I had 2 My Players. One was a SF which I cared little about, he was a Point-forward... My 2nd player right now is a PG and he's a scoring one. I made him similar to Derrick Rose, but I can't get the jumpshot timing down pack.

I think it's cool to make players after professional bball players and celebs. Only thing I dislike is how cheesy the My Players faces are.

I always try to make mine as similar as my play style in real life. It seems much more enjoyable for me that way.

Since it is a basketball game, I actually try to create myself as accurate as possible, from everything down to my real height (5'10). It seems like the logical thing to do if you're creating a version of yourself that plays basketball. In every 2K since 2K10, I find myself creating 2 or 3 MyPlayers, all of which look the same but vary in height and position. The current MyPlayer I'm playing as now is a 6'11 Small Forward for the Portland Trail Blazers. Gotta compete with KD hah but yeah most of the time, I'm playing as a 5'10 guard just like how I would play in real life.

Dunno if some of you guys know the manga "slam dunk". I actually based the appearance of the best high school player in the story (on sannoh, for those who know). But since hes a sf but has the height of a big pg, i made him a pg and his playstyle is a mix of derrick rose (driving -> signature skill: finisher), rondo (passing -> sig skill: dimer), paul (leadership -> sig skill: floor general), crawford (dribbeling -> sig skill: ankle breaker) and my own preference: lockdown defender. I named him colin fox tho, just to get the commentators to call a name instead of a nickname
