Week 15: Washington Redskins (7-6) at Cleveland Browns (5-8)

A game that 4 weeks ago looked like a game between two rookie QBs on teams going nowhere, has become a game with major play-off implications, between to rookie QBs and two teams on the rise.

Washington heads into the game winners of 4 straight, but with an injured superstar QB in RGIII (Grade 1 LCL sprain). Washington's defense has been putting together good halves but not full games, and is still struggles to get to the QB and defend the pass. Washington's offense got a look at what a disciplined defense can do to the read option at the NFL level and may be without Bobby Three Sticks in this one as the nations capital is holding on to slim playoff hopes. If Griffin can't go the burden will fall on Alfred Morris (1,200+ rushing yards) and Kirk Cousins (4th round draft pick).

Cleveland has show tremendous improvement follow some major upheaval in the executive suites. Facing a favorable schedule the last three weeks Pittsburgh, Oakland and Kansas City Cleveland has responded with three big wins that have them looking to finish strong and possibly at 8-8. Brandon Weeden has found something in Josh Gordon. Trent Richardson has been as strong as advertised, while his ypc is at 3.5 he has toted the rock almost 250 times so far. Cleveland has a very strong defense and with a healthy RGIII they would be tested against the read option pistol attack. With his status in doubt, it will be very difficut to prepare for that attack and the potential of Cousins at QB with very limited film on Cousins.

I think Washington's magic season continues, but w/o RGIII the game is closer.

w/ RGIII Skins 31 Cleveland 21
w/o RGIII Skins 21 Cleveland 20

Also interesting Cleveland opened up as 7 point favorites in Vegas.

I saw the 7 pts and thought WOW. I should jump all over it. Even with Cousins, I think Skins pull it out.

The Browns have been very good at home all year except for the Bills game.

RGIII sounds like he won't be playing.

I'll go 28-17 Browns. Weeden finally has a huge game and the Redskins struggle against a good defense with a guy making his first NFL start.

Dont snore on that Browns defense. I dont trust the Browns offense in anyway though even against washington.

24-13 Washington.
