Donovan McNabb as a Wide Receiver

Before my pre-season against the Eagles, I made Donovan McNabb a Wide Receiver. He was in the depth chart as WR #4. He caught 2 passes with no drops. In fact, he did better than my rookie TE who spent years at college playing TE. How is that possible?

If play knowledge is so important in this game, how is Donovan McNabb able to do so well playing WR for the first time?

I should add the game was not simulated. I played the entire game.

2 catches in preseason isn't really too big a deal. I've had a 49 ovr receiver with a 56 catch rating have a 7 catch 90 yard game. Just because his name is McNabb though doesn't mean he won't produce, the game doesn't care. Idon't see him winning any awards or anything. Funny stuff though.

Two catches and thrown to two times with no drops--and he is not a rookie WR like your man, He didn't play as a WR the last 4 years in college.

Sure he won't win any awards, but the fact it happens negates the importance of play knowledge. In addition, it may very well lead to other speculations as to why it happens.

If he knows the play as a qb, then he knows the plays as a wr. It's not rocket science. Tebow has caught passes this year too, and he didn't play wr in college either...

Just because you played qb in college doesn't mean you can't catch a football. I played qb in college, and I don't know the Pats playbook, but trust me, I can catch a football. Twice even, with no drops.

The point of my post here is playbook knowledge, so let's talk about the significance of playbook knowledge in relation to Donovan McNabb.

I could go on with you about your experiences, but we are talking about a video game and its players.
