What's with the rotations on this game?

Never mind the fact that the rotation minutes are set all wrong (for example, Teague gets 13 minutes and Nate Robinson gets 0 for the Bulls), but even when you set players to their correct minutes, they don't come in at logical times. Hinrich will get subbed out halfway through the first, will be back in to start the 2nd quarter, only to be subbed out after the first dead ball...then wont come in until the quarter is almost done

I hate that every guy on every team plays by the end of the 1st. Seeing Chris Duhon in the 1st quarter just messes up the game realistically. Also, rotations reset every time you start an association. They seem like to patch-able problems, hope to see them fixed.

Been annoying me too, whole starting 5 will get subbed off after first quarter no sixth man really. And u have starters missing the whole 2nd quarter.

Glad they fixed the rotations when it's a blowout though, the subs ever deadball killed me

I hate this too.

Good thing my Bulls Association is 10 deep (Rose, Iguodala, Hamilton, Randolph, Noah, Robinson, Gibson, Butler, Oden, Hinrich). And the bench can still ball with starters.

Yea i Usually just manually sub players in and out the game because of the flawed rotation

Re: What's with the rotations on this game?

That's something that I wanted to ask for before 2K13, but forgot. Assuming there is no such thing in the game (I've never seen it)... I thought they should have added some kind of a "pattern" tool for rotations/substitution for each player, or at least several different patterns that you can assign to each player (or choose 'random' and let the CPU do what it does now).

For example, one option can be "Plays 10 minutes of the first, last 6 minutes of second, 10 minutes of third, last 7 minutes of the 4th"...or just let us set the numbers manually for each quarter - for each player.

Sure, in reality players don't play exactly the same minutes for 82 games, but at least this way we would be able to make it closer to what the rotations look like early on, and tweak it as we progress through the season.

Obviously, it wouldn't be easy to program this, since it would also need to take into account fouls, fatigue, blow-outs, deficits etc...

I really haven't experienced this. I play 8 min quarters and generally in the last two or three minutes the CPU will sub all but their star then at start of the second almost everyone on the starring unit is back in except the star till the 5 min mark
