Getting tired of the cheating BS by the AI in NBA 2k13

Year after year it's the same thing with nba 2k games. It's becoming extremely clear that 2k has NO idea of how to make a game challenge you in a FAIR way, or they just don't want to/don't care.

Before anyone comes in saying the cliche "you just suck learn to play, i love 2k and it doesn't cheat blah blah, don't complain" nonsense. Keep in mind, i'm getting extremely pissed even though i'm winning most of my games. And i do mess with sliders. I play on superstar.

I just find the things this game does to make fake difficulty disgusting. It would be like going through a boxing match that you won, but your opponent gets away with low blowing you through the whole fight, that's how the computer plays. Dirty and cheap.

Certain things i'm talking about that are blatant cheating:

Rebounding animations favor computer: Often times i'll be in a better position to grab a board but due to my guy going into some idiotic terribly designed awkward rebound animation the computer gets the ball instead. For example, i had blake griffin boxed out with Dwight howard and when i hit the jump button howard jumps in slow motion like an idiot with both hands rigid, blake jumps and the ball gets sucked into his hand. Blake freaking outrebounded dwight howard with one hand while being boxed out! No, just no.

Lose balls: All of your players act like idiots with loose balls. The balls loose and my guys run in slow motion or will be right by the ball and won't freaking grab it! I can't control everyone at once, this is ridiculous.

Steals: This is a HUGE one. The computer gets some of the most garbage cheap steals i've ever seen. I've had the ball with howard in the paint, i try to go up. Blake griffin like strips him as he goes up(it's a canned animation that i've seen hinder the user more). What's messed up is on the replay he didn't even touch the ball, he just kind of bumped howard as he went up and howard drops the ball and goes up with nothing in his hands like an idiot.

Other times, i'll try to dribble a little with larger player, let's say chris bosh. For some reason the game thinks bosh can't dribble at all(despite him being quick with the ball for a big, and having some footwork). I try to dribble just a bit and go bassline, the defender bumps me, bosh drops the ball and i can't move him to go get it. Or, the defender will run into me and i get this other canned animation where my player just forgets how to do anything as the defender reaches across him and he drops the ball. While on the other hand, i've literally had the computer pull an ankle breaker with a big and make my guy fall down as they drive all the way from the 3 point line to the basket. I've noticed when i bump the computer or try to steal the ball from them when they're controlling a big, they never get this stupid animations where they drop the ball. That's blatant cheating.

Other nonsense: From dwight howard refusing to go anywhere near the paint and lingering around the 3 point line(telling him to post up isn't helpful because he doesn't really try to get deep in the post at all), to dwight howard going up in slow motion when i hit the block button, or jumping like 2 seconds after i hit the button, or barely jumping at all like he doesn't want to block the ball. Or how about the computer almost ALWAYS being able to successfully pass out of a shot with anybody. It's very cheap.

I feel like things like this hold the game back and cheapen it,they need to be addressed but 2k seems like they don't want to acknowledge them.

Do you guys feel like the game cheats? By the way, i do have evidence of some of this stuff, i've started saving replays and i might post them on youtube.

Nah, as i've already stated above. I know how to use sliders and adjust tendencies. I also know how to edit players. It's not that simple.

I hate the drop ball animation, it's so stupid. You bump into someone and drops the ball. And CPU's reaction time is like a millisecond. They can double team you inside the paint then immediately recover and run up to you at the 3 point line. The way they try to beat you is like so cheap. I can't even play this game with default slider.

Oh, if they can't pass out of a shot that's being blocked, then it's an automatic foul. Pshh

OP, I feel your pain and encourage not to lose faith and keep telling it like it is. People in here right it off and one not knowing how to play but that's BS in my opinion. I understand wholeheartedly what your going through. I use tomba's sliders, best in the biz. They are pretty good but the offensive rebounding by the cpu totally kills it for me. I can take them making alot of shots, it's the NBA, they are supreme athletes but the offensive rebounding is crazy. My man will be in perfect position and not get the rebound, they get rebounds on 3 guys. My teammates don't act properly at all. The loose ball issue is another thing. Why is that my man will see the ball and not do anything. He'll just look at it, I don't understand that at all. It's like they are brain dead.

2k13 is just a gimmick to get you to buy if you already own 12. there's no gameplay improvements at all. what's the point of adding things like sig skills and new modes if the gameplay isn't there? i've talked about the scripting in multiple threads that cover the cpu fast break, offensive rebounding, lagging teammates - they're all tied together; but people think i'm crazy and call me a conspiracy theorist and probably think i'm out to get 2k.

but hey, it's a game and no one is forcing us to play it but it does piss you off thinking of what 2k COULD bring to the table.

I feel your pain!

Everything you stated is what I put for 2K to fix in their patch. When the CPU is making a run all of these animations happen.

Another canned animation (I don't like) is PG dribbles past defender and a rotating defender helps (PF/C) and rips the ball from him.

A new animation I have been seeing a lot is the CPU will be around the 3pt line and do a crossover dribble. It freezes the defender and the CPU gets a extremely speed burst animation, takes one dribble then travels (3 steps) for an uncontested layup.

Do you remember Skyrim when it came out? Potentially GOTY but full of bugs, people were furious, how many patches have come out to fix it?

This is 2k13, it could be a great game but it's full of bugs, why shoud we be afraid to say so if it's the truth?
