Best/Worst Contracts in Association

I just wanted to compile a list of the Best and Worst contracts in the game for Association. I'm talking about value for what role they're expected to play. Please don't put players based on if they're your favorites and injury history should play a part in your opinion. If they have options please specify and if they're RFA I'll put them in bold. You can round the numbers any way you want. Future contracts can be included too and please indicate that too and I'll italicize I'll update this main post regularly.

Best Contracts-2012 Value-2013-Years Left-Option-Years of Option
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Rajon Rondo-11M-12M-3yrs-NA-NA

2. Mike Conley-7.18M-7.9M-4yrs-NA-NA

5. Kyle Lowry-5.75M-6.21M-2yrs-NA-NA

Worst Contracts-2012 Value-2013-Years Left-Options-Years of Option

Re: Best/Worst Contracts in Association

If you update your roster with the brand new extensions just given out yesterday, then Demar Derozan's 4yr/$40 million deal has to be on the list. He's a decent player but not worth upwards of $10 million a year, in 2K or in real life.

I'm afraid that since they're gonna retire after the contracts plus they're the life blood of their teams I can't do that.

I'm a fan of Antwan Jamison's contract though. 1.35M for a solid sixth man who can shoot 3's and rebound decently. Also it's only for 1 year so if you don't like it you don't have to extend it should I add it to the list of good contracts?

Re: Best/Worst Contracts in Association

Well obviously any rookie contract is nice.

Rondo is a great deal. He's paid like 3/4's of what any top PG is getting.
$11,000,000 - $11,954,545 - $12,909,091

OJ Mayo is cheap at
$4,020,000 - $4,200,900 (PO)

Conley has a modest deal too
$7,505,786 - $8,200,001 - $8,894,216 - $9,588,426

Goran Dragic as well if you develop him a little
$7,500,000 $7,500,000 $7,500,000 $7,500,000 (PO)

Nick Collison if you need a cheap long term back up pf/c
$2,929,332 - $2,585,668 - $2,242,003

Scola has a great deal.
$4,148,510 - $4,508,504 - $4,868,499

----

Fields' (imo) because he's garbage. Guess depends on what you are looking for. I wouldn't want him starting on my team so 6 and a quarter for an average backup?
$6,250,000 - $6,250,000 - $6,250,000

Joe Johnson's is ****.
$19,752,645 - $21,466,718 - $23,180,790 - $24,894,863
Seriously almost 25 mil when he's 35? C'mon man.

Boozer as well.
$15,000,000 - $15,300,000 - $16,800,000

And Taj Gibson's new contract seems a bit much for what he's proven. I forgot the numbers. Upwards of 9 mil I think?

Can't say I'm a fan of Tyrus Thomas' contract, but he is rated too high in this game which makes it somewhat more reasonable...
$8,000,000 - $8,694,215 - $9,388,430

JaVale McGee is a tough one because he's actually good in this game. I'll post it anyway.
$10,000,000 - $10,750,000 - $11,250,000 - $12,000,000

David Lee..
$12,744,000 - $13,878,000 - $15,012,000 - $15,493,680

JJ Barea; too long and too much for such an below average back up combo.
$4,493,500 - $4,687,000 - $4,519,500

Joel Freeland.. Like Birdman's old contract.
$3,013,512 - $2,897,976 - $3,013,512 - $3,766,980

Nenę... Getting paid 13 mil at about 35 years old? For a guy stuck between a 4/5.
$13,000,000 - $13,000,000 - $13,000,000 - $13,000,000

btw, I went off of ShamSports for the numbers. I'm thinking it should be the same or why the hell is 2k making up numbers?

Jodie Meeks imo will be a steal as the season goes on. ...

I think Curry's contract was ill-advised,.

Derozan's contract will be worth it I think, but I've always been positive on him developing.

I think Lowery(sp), Collision and Lawson will all be sleepers and worth their contracts...

Some of the Euros that are not in the official roster will be gems as well... Sved on the Timberwolves will be a surprise I think.

As a Rockets fan, and who hated seeing Lowry traded, he has such a great contract, he is underpaid right now. He is a top PG in the NBA. Fortunately for the Rockets, the trade lead to getting James Harden.

There are a lot of bad deals around the league, some can argue Lin and Asik got major deals not worth it, but so far thru 1 game, and I know 1 game, they both looked good beside Harden.

The deals for Curry, Derozan seem like too much.

Lawson is worth the 44 Million, great PG for the now and future.
