NBA 2k13 freezing ps3

Has anyone else encountered this? Randomly the game freezes to the point that i have to unplug my ps3 because i can't shut it down. It's frozen like this when i start a game(like when i hit x to play a game and it's loading). And it's frozen when i start 2k13(like when i put the disc in). Both of these happen randomly.

How the hell did 2k not fix this after 2k12 freezing and not letting people play it last year? This is unacceptable. Test your damn games, jesus.

To top it all off.....I can't even find a blacktop match for the last day,sticks on "searching for players"

That used to happen to me all the time. I don't know if this is the direct cause, but once I stopped using the MyNBA2K app on my phone to get VC, the freezing stopped. So if you are using that to get VC try stopping and see if that fixes it.

Its ridiculous, for the 3rd straight year the same issue arises. And mines freezes upon loading the game, starting up the game, and when i play myteam it freezes at the lineup screen or right before so i lose 2000 vc and i get a loss. 2k is starting to look very greedy and its irritating, how do you continue to make a solid game but never can get it to work. A lot of ppl are dealing with this but 2k never acts until half of the community has the problem, ea has its problems but at least the games work

I was one of the guys effected by this last year with 2k12. This year I just downloaded it from PSN - I'll never buy another 2k disc because of it for my PS3. The day they stop making it available through PSN is the day I start playing 2k on my Xbox.
