11,12, or 13?

I have 2K11 and 12, also 9 for the record. I don't have 2K13.
I'm pretty happy with 2K12 myself. Apparently others disagree.
Is 2K13 worth going with?
Or if 2K11 is so great, should I go back to 11?
If I do, can I still upload the patches for 11? I deleted them last year.

I can't say..people act like 2k11 was flawless, it wasnt

2k11 might have been the most fun for me, because it felt more arcade-ish..and you could adjust sliders against buddies online. Still had its fair share of garbage. good game though.

2k12 was the most realistic, but wasn't as fun as 2k11..other things not addressed

2k13 is probably the best, but has too many exploits and fatigue is too strong. I'd still play 2k13 though.

Re: 11,12, or 13?

And here marks the 17th thread on to buy 2k...

Anyways get 2k13 man. The only bad thing is the VC and defense but they'll fix the defense. The rookie class and new control stick has to be the #1 selling point. You have Andre Drummond(who as 59 is already a monster he'll be a 70 by mid-season), Anthony Davis, Damian Lillilard(mini Westbrook), MKG, Harrison Barnes, Thomas Robinson, Terrence Ross, Bradly Beal, Doron Lamd, Jeremy Lamb, and the list goes on. Also once mycareer gets patched that will be the best mycareer since 2k10. Also 01 Kings and 01 76ers baby!

It depends what modes you play.

For me, I love 2k13 simply because the addition of VC and MyPlayer Blacktop online. I dont understand why people are hating on VC to be honest. It is a great feature that brings a new aspect into playing the game. I feel like I am not only playing for entertainment, but for a purpose. Build your MyPlayer through getting VC and you will be a beast on the MyPlayer blacktop courts.

Re: 11,12, or 13?

I should state that I'm a dedicated CPU vs CPU Franchise player. Realism means EVERYTHING to me. I worked on my sliders for 2K12 well into this past summer. The season was long over, and I finally have my settings the way I want them.
So essentially my 2K12 is still an unplayed game for me.
From what I'm reading 2K13 is a bit Arcadey. Which I detest.
But I'm also reading that 2K11 was apparently the greatest game ever.
My experience was that there was several glitches such as no loose ball fouls, charging etc. After viewing about a months worth of games, I had noticed several patterns such as timeout sequences that made the game appear to be scripted IMO.
So my question remains.. Why is 2K11 still considered to be better than either 12 or 13? And why does 2K12 get such little respect?
And are the patches for 2K11 still available?

Ok then 2K13 is not for you. You are right on your research, it is a bit arcadey. I dont blame people for calling this game NBA JAM 2k13. In all seriousness, stick with your game.
