Unrealistic Time Pass

This has only happened once (it only could have happened once so far), so I'm not sure if it was just a single issue, or if it's the game. I had a player injured during conference championship week for 2 weeks. When it was time to play the National Championship, he was still injured. As far as the game is concerned, this is only a one week difference (Championship Week to Bowl Week), but it is obviously much longer in real life. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm pretty sure the game processes four bowl weeks, specifically for this reason.

Sometimes injuries can last longer than expected, though. I've had players injured and listed as (for example) 2 week, but not get put back in for 4 or 5 weeks.

Yeah, the game processes four bowl weeks. Sounds like your guy just had a lingering injury. I've seen guys listed as "questionable" for weeks. I like it. It adds some ambiguity to injury reports instead of just being a cut and dry # of weeks. I think they should take it a step further and give a 2 to 3 week range when giving an initial diagnosis. I.E. Instead of saying "out 4 weeks" say "out 4 to 6 weeks."

It'd also be cool if injuries could reoccur throughout a career. Also, maybe after a guy comes back he could only play for a bit for the first few games, and eventually one of those injury screens would pop up, saying "Tom Smith is concerned about aggravating his arm injury, should we take him out for a bit?' And beneath that, options would appear, like:

No (Reinjury Risk: High)
Rest For 1 Quarter (Reinjury risk: Medium)
Rest for 2 Quarters (Reinjury Risk: Low)
Rest for remainder of game (Reinjury Risk: None)

Re: Unrealistic Time Pass

like others have said. injury can be longer than what is listed. i remember having a guy get hurt week 1. he was out 6 weeks but when 6 weeks was up he remained questionable the rest of the season. it sucked because in real life he would have got a RS

had the same thing last year, my RB got hurt in week 4 for 3 weeks and then the following 2 weeks he was Doubtfull and then the following 4 weeks it was questionable but I could force him into the game if I needed to. which I did once after I lost my backup and 3rd stringer in a game.

Re: Unrealistic Time Pass

In the last season of my OD, my starting QB was injured in week 4 for 3 weeks. 3 weeks later he was still listed as questionable and remained that way for 4 week. He was then probable through the CCG week and didn't come off the list until the bowl game. So his "3 week" injury actually lasted for 13 weeks. I like it a lot that they have nagging injuries like this. Of course it sucks when it's your starting QB like this, but it's still really nice.
