Does Player Roles off make your dynasty irrelevant?

I'm about to start off a Kings dynasty. Would turning off Player Roles make it invalid, or irrelevant? Or uninteresting? I'm trying to decide if I should leave them on or not.

I typically leave them on but I know a lot of players like to turn them off.

It can be frustrating when an average starter is losing morale because he wants more minutes even if I have him set for 38 minutes a game or more.

Similar frustrations when known sixth men like Ginobili or Harden lose morale because they're not starting. As well as prospects or low producing average rated role players.

I wouldn't think twice about turning it off if its a source of frustration for you. Its not like its an accurate simulation of roles and personalities.

I once had Duncan lose moral over earning only 30 minutes a game even though in real life Pop manages his minutes obsessively. I think last year he averaged around 28 minutes a game.

Thanks! I think I'm going to turn them off. The game isn't very accurate anyways with these.

The only issue I can think of is the fact that CPU teams' rotations might be thrown off... But thats a MAYBE as I havent tried.

IDK if it's only me but the roles make the game interesting with building your team IMO

Turn them off. To keep realism. Like giving Duncan less minutes in the regular season, occassionally (eg. I'm the Bulls) giving Rose, Evans, Randolph or Noah a DNP when we lock up a high playoff seed, so they don't get injured...stuff like that. Especially if you're a team that can go over 8 deep.

I like keeping them on, it adds to the experience for me. I know a lot of you guys disagree, but I like that if Manu/Harden are sitting the bench they're mad. I like that if an overpaid guy (IMO) is upset because of his playing time/role, I have more incentive trade him!

Just warning you, if you turn them off, and don't do 30 team control, you won't see any CPU trades happening.

I was in the same boat as keeping them off, but I kept noticing NO trades were happening. They only occur with players roles on.

Us Association players just CAN'T get a break with this series.
