Please help. "The connection to your opponents has been lost" almost every time

Can someone please give me some answers here? Literally more than half the time I go into a vs game, right at the pre game screen it says "The Connection To The Other Player(s) has been lost". Then if I keep getting matched up with that person, it won't work no matter how many times we try. It's not them quitting, it's not my connection (I have a wired connection), and it doesn't do it with ANY of my other games.

It doesn't do it in EASHL, doesn't do it in shootouts, or anything. Only in HUT Vs, or Online Vs. I have no idea what the hell the issue is. It is getting very frustrating to sit there for 20 minutes to try and find a game, and then when I get someone who I know it won't work with, and I back out at the team select screen, it makes me lose 5 pucks every time. I know 5 pucks isn't a lot, but I have to do this so much, it's adding up.

I have tried absolutely everything. It's been almost 3 hours now and I haven't been able to get into a game. Tried deleting everything but my user profile, still doesn't work. Apparently this was a problem for people last year, too:

They say the only way to fix it is to delete your NHL profile, NO WAY am I doing that. Won't I lose my Ultimate Team? I've put so much time and effort into that. This is absolutely ridiculous. I can't even believe it.

I am so mad right now at this, usually it'd take me 3 or 4 tries, and I'd be able to find a game, it shouldn't even take that long. I have no idea what to do right now. I've tried re-setting my modem (even though I know it's not that, because I don't have any problems with any other game, or even in EASHL or shootout mode, just online vs and hut vs), I've tried everything.

I've deleted everything except for my user profile, because I think if I delete that, I'll lose my Ultimate Team. If I delete my user profile from my hard drive, that deletes my Ultimate Team, right? This is pissing me off so much.


I just tried moving my profile to a memory stick and using that instead of my hard drive, that didn't work either. I'm at a complete loss right now. I feel like they've stolen my money, and my time away from me.

It's one thing for this to have been a problem last year, but for it to be a problem AGAIN this year, is beyond inexcusable. The amount of money they make off of this game, not just with sales, but with all the boosts from EASHL, and people buying packs in hut, words can't describe how annoyed I am with this.

Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:

Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)


I solved my connection problems with this.

Since the latest patch I've been getting a "synchronization error" of some sort where after the opening face off it will glitch and warp back to the face off a few times before giving an error and closing the game.

My buddy noticed it Tuesday night, then Wednesday morning I played no problems, played 5 games. Then last night around midnight it happened 3 games in a row. This is all online vs.

This will solve your problem. This setup needs to be completed on your router. If you don't know how to do it, follow the instructions on the xbox website. Click Here

I play on the ps3 and usually I get that when someone quits on me or something, never just randomly.

I've solved the problem by just playing on a memory stick with no NHL 13 profile. Can still access my HUT and everything, which is all I'm really playing right now. Thanks for all your replies.

Is a memory stick like a usb plug? Or do the makers of the system sell specific memory sticks to buy?
