Use of headset or mic for NBA 2k13

This may be a dumb question but I'm new to 2k. How do you use a mic in blacktop or an online game? My bluetooth is all set up and connected but I can't hear or talk to anyone. Anyone know how to fix this?

What system, ... guessing PS3??

If so make sure your accessory settings under audio devices are both set to the bluetooth device

Yeah, it's ps3. I was trying it with a friend on blacktop and in a head to head game and it wouldn't work. In the lobby we both had a "speaker" looking thing by our psn names, but mine only showed up on my screen and vice versa for him.

So if we change our accessory setting we can use it for blacktop and head to head games?

you need to go into accessory settings then go to manage bluetooth device and you have to register your device on the system if you havent already done so then all you should have to do is turn the headset on and you should be connected.

I'm also having this issue. I just finished playing FIFA with my brother, and we had no problems using our headset and we could hear each other. We could do a PS3 Voice Chat as well in the XMB menu and it works.

However, I have no idea why it doesn't work with NBA. Is there a setting or a screen that should pop up that says "enable audio" or something?

i am having the exact same problem and cannot find an answer anywhere.

i have a bluetooth headset, have used it with my friend for both madden and fifa, however, no clue how to get it to work with NBA2k13. it is connected and the audio input/output is set on the bluetooth. What do??! please help
