Team Strategies

I am looking to find a breakdown of the team strat, such as the high forcheck and cloging between the blues lines.

I have tried many different things, and it usually results in the same thing, my de guys getting beat around the edge, or an odd man rush for the opposition. I even tried the TB 1-3-1 full nutr zone. Im not looking for exploits, but I am looking to improve my transition defense.

Any help

Re: Team Strategies

I think the "decision slider" between NZ or FC is more important than the formation you have chosen. Slider towards FC is risky, I put it towards NZ whenever I feel like I'm not able to establish good forechecking. Usually I get the feel how my FC is working after 3-4 shifts.

About formations, I usually start with 1-2-2 Red and switch it to 1-4 if i'm in trouble or I want to defend lead. 1-2-2 blue isn't bad either but I hate the 1-3-1 NZ tactic. It's just too narrow or thin compared to 1-4 for example. Cpu will skate through my 1-3-1 easily but when i'm using 1-4 i'm forcing Cpu to dump the puck with good success.

Re: Team Strategies

I barely notice a difference again this year in the strats with AI. I'll set the bias to full NZ and sometimes the AI d still gets caught past center ice on breakouts.
