6 games and counting, still no penalties called on CPU controlled team

Very strange.....since the tuner released to fix penalties I was seeing 3-6 per team (User and CPU) in play now games and I have since started a season where Im seeing the same. Even had a game with 9 penalties on me and 7 on CPU. I have seen 4 on 4s and 5 on 3s.....even double minors...CPU never starts a fight unless you whack their wingers during a face off. I wonder what the heck is going on that your not getting them??? Have you tried deleting the files and re-installing the updates? Hope you get it going because the game is pretty damn good when all is working. I hope the next update makes it even better sometimes those updates screw things up. Good luck.

Yep, just got done playing a few games with 1.06 and default sliders. I was getting penalties even before I maxed out all three penalty sliders.

As someone suggested, please recheck your settings. The way you want to edit them [edit: for Play Now games] is from the main screen in My NHL 13/Settings/.... Make sure they save. If you change them in game or even on the way into game for Play Now they don't save permanently.

All this said, you are not the only one reporting still having problems, so it could be that something is going wrong somehow. If so it would most likely be in how settings are getting set up and saved, since it is definitely working fine for other (most?) people -- myself included. If something is going wrong we need to figure out what the difference is for the people who it isn't working for in order to pin down the problem.

Deleting your profile and starting fresh might be worth a try if you are ok with doing that.

So far I haven't had this issue. Given I'm doing the "Coach mode" and also watching CPU vs CPU games. Playing PITT vs DET right now, and in the first period:

DET PIM: 6
PIT PIM: 2

As most of stated so far, check your settings. Check the hitting power ( I have mine at 3). That MIGHT help with getting penalties...who knows. But check aggression and make sure ALL your penalty sliders are maxed.

Thanks for the replies. The fact that other people are getting penalties gives me hope. I'm going to delete everything, patches and saves, and try again.

Who knows, could be just a strange stretch of games.
