Schemes question

Just started an online CCM. Got a question on player ratings/schemes.

I'm the Titans and play a 4-3, I was going to trade for Patrick Peterson who is a 3-4 Attack scheme. His rating was 83.

A friend of mine is the Redskins, he was looking at Peterson too and his rating was much higher. Do their ratings change because of the schemes. And if they do does it make it easier to trade for them if their ratings are lower in a different scheme?

yes, remember the ratings you see on other teams is them being compared to your scheme.

No, the scheme type such as 4-3 or 3-4 Attacking doesn't influence the OVR ratings.

What does affect the OVR ratings are what you have your player types set as. Patrick Peterson will be rated highest if you have your player types for CBs set for Man to Man or Prototype CBs. He'll be rated lower for Run Support or Zone Coverage. You and your friend probably have different player types for your CBs which is why Peterson is rated differently between you.

If you want to get an idea how much Arizona values Peterson, you should switch your CB player type to Man to Man or whatever Arizona has it set to so you can see how high Peterson is rated to them.
