lockdown defender sig skill

i noticed a lot of big men have this skill assigned even though in-game and also on 2k's blog it's listed as being for perimeter players.

what gives?

i just tested it - bill russell's "lockdown defender" does activate in the post.

^ya, kobe doesn't have it i dunno what fanboy is talking about. nor does dwight have it, though i think he deserves it with his multiple defensive awards and honors. i guess i am speaking mostly on historic players... i was surprised to see how many big men had this skill being as it refers to only perimeter players (although it does seems to work for interior players).

I'm guessing it's because these legendary big men were also great help defenders on the perimeter as well back in the day? It should be available for bigs though, as some bigs can absolutely neutralize others in real life (Garnett, Howard, Varejao, Perkins, Noah, healthy Bogut, Ben Wallace in his prime).

Of course, I guess that's what Defensive Anchor is for, but that just makes the player a great help defender as opposed to an individual defender.

A lockdown defender is generally a wing or perimeter defender not a post defender
