Remember when 2k first introduced myPlayer? It was really cool, since you really had to WORK your way up the Career ladder. I think i got sent down to the D-League twice, and that meant making an NBA roster was such a great feeling!

I hate how things are too easy right now... I wish they'd give us the option for a slower MyPlayer mode as well, i really loved playing with nobodies and only getting 5 mpg once i made it to the League.

Anybody else here want that back? Can we start a petition?

I loved it as well. Never got sent to D League though

. summer league , then training camp was fun as hell. Even the downloadable draft combine was good

Yeah, i remember i got sent to the Mad Ants, which was awesome. Haha. Those were really fun. Now, its like "play well a couple games, overtake a stud veteran for starter duties"... Really ruins d mode for me...

No I really don't miss the game breaking clone glitch. And then there were terrible substitution patterns and the fact that you had to play EVERY game.

I loved this! It was a bit tedious playing summer league games and practices but you really had to fight to get into the nba. If you didn't play well you'd have to play in the d league. When you made it to the nba it made it feel like you had achieved something.

Yeah the entire process was awesome. Playing 4-5 games in Summer Circuit just to try and get drafted by a team, then the draft, and then Trainin Camp, the 3-4 full game scrimmage practices. Those were the 40 Overall days hahaha. The one thing I will always dislike about myplayer is how fast it takes to become a great player, the progression rate is absolutely terrible, 2K11 it seemed like it took me about a season to go from 66 to 93.... not even Jeremy Lin got that kind I love during his breakout last season.
