Is it time to do away with OVR Rating

Here is my reasoning..it changes depending on what kind of D or O u are running anyway..also..it's not like the coaching staffs in NFL have a list in front of them that says.."Tom Brady" is a 99..if u know what I mean..or at least an option

makes sense but they wont do it. 70% of their fans are probably not die hard fans or strategy fand and they all would complain that its too hard to build a good team or too much work having to study all the ratings.

I do think they need to improve the ability to compare players or scout players (not draft) to get a better feel on who to resign/fa sign etc.

I understand your point..or maybe better stated "their" point..however why not allow it to be hidden if we want it..no? I'm thinking no number ratings at all..I think as a quick example..speed just a 40 time, strength max bench or something like that, and so on

No it is more necessary than ever to determine how well players fit into a scheme and play style. While it's Bo longer anchored and the only rating to change, it offers a general assessment taking a crap ton of work out of the menus. This game without OVR would b an absolute trainwreck

And i agree with u..it would be a ton of work..but why not allow it to be hidden so if someone wants to go without it..with a bit more of a challenge let them..u still can have a screen that shows who is better suited for that type of D or O

I like this idea, would really force you to feel out each player and see if they work out for you instead of relying on some arbitrary number be the deciding factor whether you start player a or player b. players with high overalls play like crap sometimes anyway and some players with low overalls play awesome. Just got an undrafted free agent running back that has a 62 overall but homie is truck. Cannot be brought down even on quan all madden slider set.
