Could anyone give me some advice on the best way to move the ball down the field? I am pretty new to the FIFA series, played 12 for a bit. I seem to have trouble dribbling the ball past any defenders, they always seem to steal the ball right from under me. Also, when I cross it into the box, I can never seem to get the same success as I did in FIFA 12. I usually play career mode with a "middle of the road" team in a European Country and try to get 1 or 2 good loans or transfers in. All of my sliders are set at 50 with the exception of Injury Frequency and Severity.

Any tips would be great.

Sorry if this is a duplicate post.

Re: Offense

crosses are efficient, idk what to say, they never were so efficient for me before. and so are counter-attacks, especially when you use the lobbed through ball, which is close to an exploit this year. basically, you have to play very direct and try to make through passes and shots to goal as fast as possible. if you try one more pass or one more dribble, you lose momentum. and the ball.

this seems to be the case this year for either human vs human and human vs cpu games. sustained pressure doesn't pay off, often you'll end up losing the ball and being exposed to a counter - and counters are lethal.

not as pleasurable as it could be imo. when keeping possession in the attacking field becomes a bad thing, you know that football is not being represented realistically.

sounds like you are trying to leroy it down the field with a couple attackers vs too many defenders. only try to push like that on the counter attack. for example if you get a good turnover in the middle third of the pitch and you find yourself even matchup, say its 3v3 as an example.

know your crosses too. most people just play the back post cross blindly and hope someone is there un marked. this year the early cross is money because of how the ai makes its runs, most of the time the defender has little time to react. i dont think the low near post crosses are as good this year as last, but still nice if you see your teammate posting up in the box and has the defender boxed out.

You should just slow it down and pass the ball around more...simple
