Alternate Wildcat Formations

Watching perhaps the ultimate wildcat QB, and one of my favorite college players ever, Mohamed Sanu throw a 73-yard bomb out of a regular shotgun formation, had me wondering if you guys have any formations purely as wildcat formations. I used to use the pistol in LSU's book with Russell Shepard at QB. I signed two monster ATH's in my BC Dynasty one with 95 Speed and 83 THP & THA, but none of the default wildcat sets have straight pass plays like the one Cincinnati ran Sunday. Basically outside of probably Shotgun Heavy, do any of you use any other formation(s) in as a designated Wildcat formation?

I always use Oregon's playbook, and in my dynasty as NC State I recruited a ATH who I switched to RB but he also had an awesome arm, around 88 THP and 83 THA. I would use him in Wildcat and also empty backfield shotgun formations and would run a ton of QB draws. He was a beast.

One of my favorite players to watch. Hope he does great things for Cincinnati. I'm surprised New England didn't draft him, since Belichick is all about versatility.

I have used Pistol Train as a designed Wildcat package in the past. Gives you basically a 3 back backfield with the ability to motion the second TE over as a lead blocker. You can run Dive, Read, Triple, Power Option and regular power stuff.

PoR25, do you use the auto-motion play in Pistol-Train? I used it as a hit or miss RB Speed Option. I thought about that and Pistol-H Twins which adds an extra WR to force the D to respect the pass.

Re: Alternate Wildcat Formations

I gave the automotion Power play a try to make it a RB Speed Option but I struggled to make the pitch accurately. I'd love to get it to work though because that would be a killer package of plays.

That was the miss part. I think they tied THA to the pitch accuracy since my RB's would miss badly.
