Need pass D help....ready to give up

I don't know what is going on but I am about ready to give up on M13. I simply cannot stop the CPU passing. Well...let me restate that...I can stop it except on 3rd and long. Everytime...no matter what play I pick...whether or not I commit pass....the CPU QB always hits a wide receiver who has beaten my CB by 10-20 yards for wide open touch downs. Its gotten to the point that I am either going to sell this game or just sim my defense.

Any help would be appreciated. I finally got my sliders set in a way that gives me a pretty good game except for the ridiculously amazing CPU passing game.

1)
I've noticed on All-Madden the CPU usually has really good passing on 3rd downs.
2) Know your defense, do you have fast corners and safeties? Slow corners and safeties? Guys with high man or high zone? Can your DBs press? Play to their strengths. You might be calling man defense plays while your DBs man coverage is in the 70s. Thats asking to get killed.
3) Read the offensive formation. If it looks like they are favoring one side, bring some help to that side, if it looks like you have a hole over the middle-cover it.
4)Mix your plays, I find if you call the same play the CPU will find the holes and exploit it. Mix in Blitz's get pressure on the QB

Just keep playing and pay attention to what you are getting beat with, and what works and make adjustments. It starts to become automatic after a while

It's doing this to me no matter what level I play on. This happened when I was in pass defense and committed pass. Both man to man and zone. I even tried spotlighting a receiver...he still was 20 yards behind my CB for an 75 yard TD.

Change your pass defense reaction time. Also, might want to lower qb accuracy and wr receiving for the cpu.

Re: Need pass D help....ready to give up

Same thing is happening to me to a certain degree. I am having no problem stopping the AI until third and long. They continuous burn me with crossing routes deep and comebacks. It doesn't matter what defense I run, they are going to convert 80% of their 3rd and longs. The other day, I hit the QB on what I believe to be a coverage sack, but he managed to throw the ball 50 yards while falling to the ground and hit a jumping triple covered receiver in the hands for the game winning touchdown. I do not believe a QB should be able to complete a 50 yard throw while in the process of falling down. How is this real physics? Needless to say, pass commit is totally useless for me. My DB's are rated high in man coverage and mediocre in zone, but I am starting to find some success using the cover two sink on third and long. Fortunately, my offense is able to generate plenty of points to keep me in most games, but it is frustrating.

Yeah man don't use the sprint or right stick until your d line is engaged with the blocker.

Is this offline ccm? If so I have the opposite problem, CPU only throws lobs to the sideline.
