Think Progression of Players in 2K Have Been Addressed?

As a big offline/ online Association player I've had issues with the way players progress. They give everyone set potential grades and set amounts of points they gain in each attribute at the end of a season no matter how they've produced. I look at Austin Rivers who is rated a 67 Ronnie already said he will have A+ potential which in 2k only raised you 5 points max without going to a camp. If you are able to put up big numbers with him a 72 overall the next season shouldnt be his rating cap. He is just an example though because there are plenty players I'm sure will be good in the game with low potential ratings.

Just wondering if 2k will ever address this... Wasn't a fan of the pre-determined rating boosts in Madden glad they got rid of it now its time for 2k to get a new system.

Highly doubt it. The system needs a major overhaul and to be far more dynamic really.

Of course not. That means the 2K Insider would have to actually edit potential ratings. Not happening.

No, really, I liked having Tyrus Thomas be more dominant on the boards than Dwight Howard in year 2 of association...

IMO the potential ratings themselves are not the problem. It's the fact that they don't fluctuate that's the problem.

Look at Kwame Brown. His potential was the reason he was drafted first overall. After improving in his first three years his progression flat-lined. In the 2K realm, he probably would have had a 90 potential rating in his rookie season. That rating would have declined after each disappointing season.

I'd be glad if they fixed big men 3 pt tendencies rising constantly. Such BS.
