canadian teams...

I would like to support a canadian team but can't really decide. Thinking maybe Edmonton? I like the sound of the montreal too. How are these teams?

Re: canadian teams...

Edmonton is a nice up and coming team. They haven't quite got it together and need a goalie and more maturity but if they're clever with some free agent/trades they can augment that youth to be a cup contending team year in, year out.

Montreal is a bit of a mess right now, too small, not enough scoring and in a state of flux.

Re: canadian teams...

Guess you chose Montreal, they have a good core to build around. MaxPac, Subban, Price, Scott Gomez, Eller, etc. They also have players with a lot of potential in juniors.

If I had to choose a Canadian team, I would have went with Sens.

Re: canadian teams...

Still haven't decided, just wanted to change my avatar. How do hockey crazy cities like toronto and montreal go without competitive teams in a USA dominated league? If the old Nordiques were still around they would be my team. Have run with Phoenix for years but I get annoyed with struggling markets in the US by cities that dont appreciate hockey. I like the old US tams that have storied histories, and any team from Canada because it is their primary passion.

Edmonton's the best choice going forward. Entertainment now. Wins later.

You should watch teams and see which ones draw you in. Can't just pick a team out of a hat.

Re: canadian teams...

Edmonton my friend. They have a great youth setup and a new coaching staff to lead them forward. They also might be getting a new arena. Even though I am a Capitals fan, I have always enjoyed the Oliers since I was a little kid.
