NBA 2k13 Net Animation/physics or lack there of

Why does the net seem so stiff and sticky when the ball goes through? One of the major things that bothered me in 2k10 was the stiff net animations. I have a pretty good jump shot when i play ball and i just love the animations of the net when a ball goes through. 2k11 was good and 2k12 was even better but it seems 13 is lacking

I agree the Net and Ball animation always needed work. I believe that this is a key for that "WOW" moment sometimes. Like you pull off a great offensive move and put up a shot and the nets don't quite move how you want them to. Kinda anti-climatic sometimes.

It needs attention definitely. I thought it was just me for years.

Why not do it now...
Seems perfectly reasonable to compare the net animation.

I agree though the net and ball (going through hoop) animations / physics could use more work.
Look at the shot by Nash at 2:15. The ball bounces out very unrealistically.

They should make it so once the ball goes into the hoop, the net and ball use physics rather than animation and the ball should interact with the net, then the net should slow down the ball and etc.

I liked a lot of things about the Lakers/Heat gameplay video but I'm in total agreement with you guys in regards to the nets. That was one of the very few things that stuck out to me as being abnormally off. They appeared stiff, sloshy, and ill-responsive to the angle with which the ball went through the bucket.

For instance, in the clip below, at the 3:14 mark, Dwyane Wade drives and fires a fallaway jumper that swishes through the hoop. The ball seems to cut through the net toward the back of the rim while the net itself doesn't seem to properly react to the shot.
