Do you think EA took out single season mode, fantasy draft etc etc just so they can add them back in next year and call it an all new feature?

I for one think its unforgivable we cant just play a single season and instead have to go the career mode via coach.

I don't think single season mode is ever going to come back. I believe the official story. It makes sense. They started over from scratch. They didn't have a code to build on. They couldn't fit it in. I think editing players being left out was a decision probably based on their thought processes that at its state right now it might mess up the stability of CCM, which is why I believe when it is patched in (and I do believe it will be) it will only be numbers and equipment. Not name or ratings.

Sometimes, there is no conspiracy theory. I'm sure their PR department will talk it up like its a new feature next year, but you have to realize that the marketing/pr department is separate from the development team. I will say, that EA relies ALOT more on their developers then most companies would. Maybe too much.

Looman is no doubt a good guy, and probably takes alot of pride in his work. However, he has the vocal presence of someone who is running scared in every interview that he does. He either is uncomfortable with speaking and interviewing or he really just does not want to do it.

I really enjoyed Head Coach 09'. Its still my favorite game. I see alot of potential in this vein of Madden and I'm having more fun with it then I have since Madden 05. It has not reached Madden 04 levels for me yet (my favorite iteration) but I do believe if they stick with and improve the existing infrastructure and don't throw the baby out with the bathwater it will be a great series of Madden games.

(on a side note, I thought they had to stop using the Madden name soon? Am I way off base?)

I don't think EA has a conspiracy or anything like this with Josh Looman at the helm. I do think the previous years 'control' was an issue. They did seem to be trying to control how we played the game.

I would say M13 is the way it is, lacking some features that were there last year due to the brand new physics engine and the hard work they put in, in giving us an awesome foundation.

Josh Looman did say in one of the playbook videos that he hopes this is the foundation for the next 10 years. I don't think this means hack and slash what we like.

Myself I look forward to Josh implementing the offline multiplayer mode (aka old skool franchise now CC) for us off liners to play.

the question is why am I not just playing CC online? I have tried in the past to use the EA servers and it always seemed to me to be laggy and buggy. I don't want to waste my time trying to play a game waiting on their servers.

So I do expect them to satisfy my offline view. I understand that they want us all online, but truely and honestly, I think I am not alone there are a lot of people whom like offline CC/franchise mode's.

Broadcast mode, was awesome. I always loved watching the CPU play another team during the season. I could scout etc. I look forward to broadcast mode and watching other teams during the year play either other offline as I have in the past.

If this is not implemented next year, then you can bet they are not listening, but I believe in Josh Looman and believe he wants to keep us happy.

But what ever the case......some way some how......I hope to God that next year we have a way to control more than one team.

Be it 32-team CCM, single season mode, play any other game or whatever.

As much as I like the game, it is absolutely killing me that I can't have my NFL season like I've been doing for over 20 years now.

Many of the old features will be back now that they've had a year to develop the new engine and connected careers. Time just was not on their side. And for anyone saying they should just release it every two years, that's a terrible business move. Steve Jobs would laugh at you from his grave.
