Is it makeable for the PC version? Since this is a 360 port it should in theroy have this capability to make a mod for the pc kinect. Just wondering if the mod community is going to do this for the game if 2k doesn't do this feature for the pc version.

I've read how people can use the regular XBOX Kinect's on the PC, but I am unsure if they actually work on any PC games, like NBA 2K13 PC? This integration and the All Star Weekend are needed on the PC version.

Kinect code won't be there in the PC version.

But, we could build something similar with the Kinect SDK's Speech Recognition features and a macro program.

Granted, we won't be able to do much more other than simulate key presses by saying words or phrases into the Kinect, but you could still say Timeout and have the "Back" key pressed to call for a timeout in game.

Could give us some nice results. Bah, and now you've got me curious on making something with that. I have the programming experience required, but I don't have a Kinect to actually try any of this out though, and don't think I'll have the money to buy one anytime soon.

EDIT: By the way, there's a general Speech SDK out there by Microsoft, which means I could make the same thing for practically any voice input device (a.k.a. microphone) on the PC. Sounds REALLY interesting.

EDIT 2: It's actually too bad I have little time available until October, because I'd love to experiment with this idea and NBA 2K12. Oh well.

Alot of that is certainly over my head, but it would be cool if someone could make it work!

Hmm, I just thought about this when it was announced for the xbox version, and since I thought it was a console port of the 360 version the code was in there to make a unofficial version of the Kinect abilities for the game unless it's a port of the PS3 version. For me it would have been a big advantage for me in MyCareer and Franchise, because I'm not that good at calling plays on the fly. I just let the CPU to this for me right now, and I HATED the plays that they always called for my SG/PG player! Now I'm thinking that this is a 360 only feature since it is $60 instead of $40 for the PC version. Guess I will have to wait until NBA 2K14.
