Madden 13 - thoughts
First off let me take the time to say that I am enjoying this madden, (haven't bought madden since Brett Favre was on the cover). There are a couple of things I am really, really enjoying.
First off, I am loving the new infinity engine. While it does have a few quirks, (which is to be expected, since this is the first year it is being implemented), the generally feeling of movement feels great to me.
Second, I love the depth of the franchise mode in terms of the draft, how a players stock can rise or fall, schemes, the cpu trade a.i. and the list goes on and on.
The only things that are holding this game back from being a good sports game into a great sports game, imo, is the fact that you aren't allowed custom playbooks in online leagues. I just can't wrap my head around out. You can create your own coach yet you can't choose to use your created playbook? I realize EA is trying to cut down on people abusing "money plays" but people will find a way anyway through the default team playbooks.
The second thing holding it back imo, is the fact that, like many of my peers have stated, is that you cannot edit players period in ccm. While it is a little thing, I love to put towels and handwarmers to all of my offensive lineman (favorite team is GB and mostly play as them) and I love decking out my star MLB etc...
Overall, its a very, very good game especially with implementation of the infinity engine. Hopefully next years madden fixs the few problems I have.
This probably won't get many views or comments, perhaps none. I just wanted to write down my thoughts and opinions on this game. Thanks for reading.
Cheers,
