Makes ya stop and think if nothing else. Now, I don't condone never punting or playing in this fashion nor do I do it myself but after reading this I may be a lil less judgemental over those who do. I know personally I think I'll start going for it a lil more often than in the past.

Its a great philosophy for football given the numbers supporting it, doubt anyone would actually try in the NFL IRL; though it would be nice to see along with a modified A-11 offense (to be legal within the rules of the NFL) combo.

I look down on people who don't punt when it's 4th and 18 on their 12 and they barely connect for a 19 yard completion.

To be honest I like playing people who go for it on 4th and long at their own 20. Stop em and it's guaranteed points for me. If you win on the first three downs why can't you win on 4th? 4th down isn't some magical down where 1st downs are automatic lol

I look down on them because they aren't getting anywhere doing it. They're playing good defense on me, I'm playing good D on them, except the difference is they're not punting, and I get the ball at the 30 yard line every drive. I love players who do it though.

I like to drive the ball down field and it's boring when I constanly recieve the ball at their 20-15 yard line.

The only reason it will never happen in the NFL is because most head coaches make decisions based on risk aversion. When playing madden the risk is much lower (a game vs. your job) so the reasons to go for it should be increased
