Best way to use progression xp

What is the best strategy when using progression xp? Should I use my xp as I am getting it or save it until I can get 50k to upgrade the player to quick/superstar? If I do upgrade does that make the points cost less xp or does it give me more xp for that player?

I was curious about scouting xp too. I got 1,000 for week 1of the season (which really didn't do much) and i didn't know if you get 1,000 per week and what we can do to get more...

For my role players I usually invest in either 1 key talent necessary for their position or awareness if they are low every week as the points become available. For my top 10% I will save until I can bump their consistency or give them the high motor trait if they dont have it. For rookies or 1st year players that were taken in rounds 1 or 2 I'll save and give them the 50k upgrade to make the most out of it.

I also make sure to invest my coach xp in positional xp boots for any position where I have alot of rookies. I am playing the Bengals so my first investment was in the WR xp boost so that I could get AJ to elite status and speed up Sanu and Jone's development.

There is a coach upgrade that gives you more weekly scouting XP. Not sure which one it is but it is a binoculars logo.

I also would imagine that depending on which coaching background you choose, you get different perks. Like the Team builder guy, would get more scouting points.
