Question regarding Custom Playbooks

Originally, I saw an interview at e3 stating that custom playbooks wouldn't be in Madden 13 this year along with fantasy drafts, etc. However, I was playing the early release version at a friend's house yesterday and saw that custom playbooks are in the game. My question is can you use them in CCM? I saw someone say that you aren't able to, can anyone else verify this? Thanks in advance.

My guess would be yes. Why have them in if you can not use them in CC.

That seems logical, but I've seen two other posts saying you're unable to. Why would you be allowed to use it for play now & online games but not CC, makes no sense unless it has something to do with affecting schemes and player ratings somehow. That's the only reason that would make any sense to me.

As far as I know (playing season ticket) you cannot use them in CCM. Created playbooks are not listed with the rest of the PBs.

Well that is how roster editing is handled. You may edit rosters, just can't use them for any meaningful games.

No, you cannot use custom books in CCM.

Which is hilarious since one of your options when creating a coach is "Strategist".

Yeah, quite the strategist I am by picking a playbook that I cannot edit, and oh wait, it will still only show me as West Coast O and Spread D (which doesn't exist) no matter which one I chose. Nice job EA.

I might as well as be a "motivator" but have no actual interaction with my players. Oh, that happens too? Well, now i really feel like i am control of my CCM.

So, the only thing my choice of what coach I choose really affects is how cheap it is to control one of the ridiculous boost slots EA chooses for progression.

Do they actually play the game before they release it? Or do they just say, "CCM isn't crashing upon load, so it must work".

Speaking from a former D1 recruiting coordinator (I am), football junkie, and current customer service manager for a recruiting service perspective, that is just awful.

What they are basically telling us is "It doesn't matter what scheme you choose, we are just going to assign one to you anyway".

Way to give power to the players!

Gameplay is much improved, but CCM leaves much to be desired due to lack of actual strategic options. At least I can put Revis/#1 CB on their top WR. Oh, they took that out too? Nice. My preorder is getting revoked tomorrow and going towards FIFA/NHL since they actually give you the power to choose strategically what you want to do.
