Connected Careers Mode.... A look past Year 1

First, wanted to start by confirming that I talked to Millennium and he gave me permission to go ahead and post. Anywho, most of you that know me from my NBA 2K stuff know that I spend most of my time DEEP in to my Dynasties/Franchises. So while I must admit that I am very impressed with what I have seen in this first year of simulating, I want to analyze how things look in the future.

To be quite honest, I usually don't believe a new feature is working properly until I see it myself. This year they are telling us that production actually matters so I wanted to do a quick little test before we got in to some other stuff. I took four players all under 80 ovr that overacheived in the first year of the connected careers mode (all CPU generated teams). I wanted to see if a player's performance would actually result in a big jump in ratings. Here's what I got:

Brian Quick/WR/Rams
2012 Connected Career Stats - 821 yards
2012 Rating - 70 ovr
2013 Rating - 72ovr

Brooks Reed/ROLB/Texans
2012 Connected Career Stats - 88 tackles 12 sacks
2012 Rating - 79ovr
2013 Rating - 83ovr

Dontay Moch/LOLB/Bengals
2012 Connected Career Stats - 121 tackles
2012 Rating - 59ovr
2013 Rating - 69ovr

Chris Rucker/CB/Colts
2012 Connected Career Stats - 6 Ints 56 tackles
2012 Rating - 69ovr
2013 Rating - 73ovr

Hmmm, not bad. I definitely like what I see with Dontay Moch. I don't think a player like Moch would have gotten a ten point jump over one season no matter what his stats were. Anyway, just wanted to do that quick test before I got into more stuff. Ill be back with another post once I get to season three. Maybe we can look at some CPU signing logic.

The jumps look good enough I agree with the 10 point jump for the linebacker. Thank you for this post I can't wait for season ticket to kick in!

could you do me a favor? I love all of this so please keep it up.

but, what about when say, a CPU team fires their coach. is there a bunch of fake coaches? is it like old madden with that, or is there a bunch of ex retired guys. I just cant believe they would allow a mike shannahan to still be coaching in 2030 in ccm.

Like I have told people.. Trading on this game is the best ive seen in any game in a long time. Very hard to rip off CPU..

Now I haven't looked at CPU-CPU trades yet

Like that Brooks Reed was able to get 12 sacks.

Off-Topic Moch seems out of place in that scheme. He seems like a 3-4 OLB opposed to a 43 OLB, he has the speed.

Yeah I'm definitely going to look at all of that. It just takes a reallllllly long time to get there because you literally have to simulate week by week. But I got you though man.

Looks legit, but they are giving too much for defensive players.. How's the zoom cam on CCM?

Cant wait for tomorrow.
