Oct/Nov Strikeforce - Cormier v. Mir Cancelled

Apparently Mir is going to fight on a Strikeforce card in either October or November and will be the next opponent for Daniel Cormier. Surprised they would take a big name UFC HW and have him appear on Strikeforce but I guess thats exactly what Dana is doing....

Makes sense to me. That way if he beats Mir, come spring of next year he can be #1 contender in the UFC.

I bet Dana is paying Mir a ton for going to SF for this fight.

Being he is a former champion, he can't get paid less then 6 figures for a fight anyway.

Not to get off topic, but I hope hope hope this somehow means Dana is willing to put a top LW against Gilbert soon, in Strikeforce. Maybe a Clay Guida/Jim Miller type

He already beat Guida in Strikeforce couple years back.
Melendez is facing Pat Healy.
