What is up with the double team button

Its a joke. I played an Magic player and set double on Howard to always. My team didnt double him at all. I also hit L1 and then the icon of who I wanted to double and nothing. All game he had one on one down low and not one of my players came to help. Any idea how on to get the double to work?

Also played a miami guy and he went baseline with James all game, maybe 10% of the time my guy would actually get a manual bump and push him backwards.

you have to be controlling the player you want to bring the double with and get him in position as your pressing L1. thats how i do it and it never fails.

Problem with the double team (as well as pressing int. foul) is it can have an effect even when the player is wide open. Pressing double team or int. foul right as someone shoots can actually make a player miss the shot (common exploit in teamup) even if the defender isn't physically in the vicinity. Hope 2k fixes that.

almost like the other guy is reluctant to come over and double team, if you want to double then you might as well use "HALF COURT TRAP" to get them to double aggressively
