Road To Glory Too Hard/Broken For You {Yes/No/Maybe So}

Recently, just browsing through the forum, Ive noticed an alarming number of users claiming RTG is Broken/Too Hard While on the other hand, some users are doing just fine on RTG .. So whats really going on? Well I've gone on ahead to see what everyone individually thinks & maybe we can get a general idea on it.

Of course we're all going to have dissenting opinions on the RTG and thats fine lol. Theres a poll up hanging above somewhere. Give that poll a shot if you'd like.

Now before we get started on this mayhem.. Lets set some ground rules..

1) Feedback would be nice. And In-Depth feedback would be awesome. So please give your reason as to why RTG is/is not broken/hard. (That means, make it more than a sentence.. 2 while your at it)..

1.5) {Optional} What are some of the problems you are having. Are they self-inflicted and Can be fixed or is it out of your control?

2) Try to provide some true analysis to your opinion that way we all know you aren't just throwing something out there.

2.5/3) Background information on who you are playing with in RTG. Format Example

Position - QB
Progresion - Starter/2nd/3rd
Season - Fresh/Soph/Jr/Sr (For those of you that have even been playing long enough to make it to your JR without getting frustrated. lol)

4) Lets try and be respectful of other peoples opinions please. We dont want any problems.

Im gonna provide my feedback later in the thread. But heres the thing. We all wanted a higher difficulty, why are we complaining now.. Remeber the ground rules and we will be delighted to hear your opinion.

Agree 100%. I'm a RB playing on Heisman. If anybody is making any headway with this position on this difficulty I'll be shocked (If you didn't come in as the starter). I went to the U started out at 3rd string. Realized VERY QUICKLY that practice was not going to be the way to move up (thank God you can return kicks now).

You get 1 coach trust point for every yard, 2 for a first down (I think) and 12 for a TD, I'm cool with that, it's a slow progression which makes the game harder, great idea. BUT you lose 20 points for a -1 yard run which makes it literally impossible to gain CT points (and minus 1 yard lossess are inevitable both in the game and in real life). Eventually I just stopped practicing and got my points returning kicks. Senior in front of me leaves and I'm 2nd on the depth chart. Next year comes around and the guy that's 3 points lower than me jumps me, haven't played since.

Would play DB, but you can't strafe anymore so I feel like I don't have control of my player. WR looks like the only position where you cant get scr***d but I haven't made it to college yet so we'll see...

I played one season as a DB. Your just going to have to get used to using the reaction time i suppose. Other than that, its alright I must say. (on AA). I ended up starting after about 8 weeks. Ended the season with like 29 tackls. (53 total tackles.)

Its hard to get an INT. You gotta be on your toes and positioned right to even think about getting one.

I havent tried WR yet. Im currently playing as RB in HS so im gonna see how this works out.

It's not that I don't think I could get used to it, I just think it made absolutely no sense for them to disable strafe and it irritates me everytime I think about it lol (I guess I'll get back to it eventually). Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to get a pick, I only played a couple games but I felt like I got pretty close a few times. How many games til you make it to college with your RB?

I have about 7 more games until I sign into college. I cant help but to notice that insane amount of plays that the lineman/WR let a defender run neck loose. However, i dont think it'll be that bad when i get to college because I can get a good amount of yards every once in a while (3/4/5/6) yard gains here and there.

Oh no, you'll see that with regularity, which is why it's impossible to gain CT points. But like you said, it's not impossible to pick up decent yardage. I think on AA the point system is probably right on because -10 on those blown assignments shouldn't be impossible to make up, but -20 kills any shot you thought you had at possibly gaining any points (God forbid you call for a pass on a screen and it bounces of the lineman's shoulder..-20+).

A Joke?? lol which joke are you referring to. Good or Bad.. Cuz im quite confused here.

As a DB i ended up going to ND and we did pretty good..

However, did you have a hard time moving up the charts at ND?? I found it pretty easy. I struggles with the 2nd position battle to start.. On Defense it seems like it is easier for players based on the fact that you cant mess up on too many things for yourself.

Whereas on Offense, you are able to mess up every play..

So.. Maybe this

On Offense - User Should be rewared more.. Cuz I dont see anything wrong with how players get deducted points on AA at all. It makes it challenging and fun..

On Defense - Stay the same maybe???
